Star-Studded Event to Honor This Year’s Nobel Peace Prize Laureate,
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos


OSLO, NORWAY, NOVEMBER 18th, 2016 – Nobel Peace Prize Concert organizers announced today that the chart-topping Swedish female duo Icona Pop will perform at the 23rd annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on Sunday, December 11th in Oslo, Norway at the Telenor Arena.  The dynamic pair will join a musical lineup that already includes Sting, Halsey and Highasakite, with Conan O’Brien serving as the evening’s host.

Most successful international pop duos

Icona Pop has risen in the ranks as one of the most successful international pop duos in music thanks to their first triple-platinum hit single “I Love It” ft. Charli XCX which has amassed over 8 million singles sold and well over 400 million streams worldwide. The girls’ recent collaboration with Chicago duo Louis The Child, “Weekend” boasts an iTunes Dance Top 10, 4.5Million streams in the US and a live Coachella performance. Current single “Brightside” which was produced by MSTR ROGERS (also a collaborator on “Someone Who Can Dance”) and Louis The Child’s Freddy Kennet, will be getting a full remix EP, arriving in December.

The Nobel Peace Prize is the most prestigious award in the world, honoring icons such as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Barack Obama, Kofi Annan, Al Gore and other remarkable individuals and organizations.  For more than twenty years, the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony has been followed the next day by the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, a musical celebration honoring the laureate.

For the second year in a row, the event will be live streamed on YouTube for viewers around the world. Following the concert, more exclusive content and interviews will be posted for fans.

The Concert is presented by Nobel Peace Prize Research & Information, produced by Warner Bros. and Gyro, and has an average reach of several hundred million households in most regions of the world.

Virtual Reality
